1 Chronicles 14:14-15
14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

15 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.

Orderliness or proper timing is the nature of God. Throughout the bible we come across numerous instances when His orderly nature is brought out.At creation He started with the very basic; light and darkness. How would have the plants photosynthesized without the sun if He had created them before He created the sun? It would have been very bad for the animals with no plants to feed on, if He had created them before creating plants.

God's orderliness remains perfect until He incorporates man into it. Man,who is ever prone to sin.
Abraham of old, a man of great faith, was promised a son. God's order right from creation was for a man to marry one woman. Somewhere a long the way, man chose to keep concubines, thereby distorting God's order of one man one woman.

When God seemed to delay, Sarah presented Haggai to Abraham. We can excuse Sarah by saying she wasn't there when Abraham was promised a son the first time, but Abraham can't get off the hook. The promise was one thing and it's fulfilment another. Haggai was not in God's picture, regarding the birth of Isaac.

Due to mis-timing, Sarah brought herself sorrows and so did Abraham bring a perpetual generational conflict between the seed of his wife and concubine up to this day. On that they failed the Mulberry tree timing.

Most often than not we hear God right the first time but fail to hear Him on the second move.
From the Haggai incident, Abraham seemed to have learn't how to hear from God. When God asked Him to go up the mountain and sacrifice Isaac he obeyed. Very keen to hear from God, when the Lord spoke again instructing him not to touch the young lad but to sacrifice the sheep held in the thicket, Abraham heard. This round he got the MULBERRY TREE TIMING right.

God has told you to go, please GO but do not do anything until you hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees. The key point is Vs 15b "for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines".

When the Lord has cleared the way for you,He gives you a sign. In Vs 14, David was told just to go towards the mulberry tree and wait there until the time he'd hear the sound of going in the trees.

In our walk today, God has told you to befriend person X. Befriend them but until God says marry them do not prempt God. God has told you to trade in stocks. Just before you start, wait to hear which counters and when.

So how do we hear from God?
In brief, it is when we devote our time to study His Word. As we read He will drop a word,a Rhema word in us.
It is when we come into fellowship with other belivers. As we share He will drop a word, in one of the speakers.
It is when we seek Him in prayer. God also speaks through dreams, visions, circumstances, etc.

In all hearing from God, lest the devil speaks to you too, no single instruction should contradict the bible. Today, pray that the Lord will help you hear the mulberry tree timing regarding various situations in your life. And surely, when you go into battle, just like David you will get the victory.
